2025 Tournament Results

Thanks
So, we made it back to the Horseshoe Casino for our 2nd year in their poker room.  I enjoyed the ability to have a pretty easy work load for me, but I know that it's tough for everyone to make the trek up to Baltimore. Either way, thanks to all of our great players and donors who showed up once again to support our event.  This year, even with a rather small group, we were able to raise more than $1750 for the National MS Society. Having all of our great friends and donors, all in great cheer, just really makes this such a memorable and awesome event, we really can't tell you how much we appreciate the support and the opportunity to host this event every year.
While we plan to host our usual at home event in the future, we really think that we set the stage for more and BIGGER MS Poker Tournaments in the future, and will see what we can do to make this event a monster.  Thanks to everyone who came out this year and helped us keep our footprint at the Horseshoe.

Highlights
Tournament Highlights and Results
On to the tournament summary and highlights. We did a better job at consolidating tables early this year, so we could have more standard play and be able to socialize with each other a bit more. And, it was a challenging event, as clearly the cream of the crop players made the trip to Baltimore to support the event. I want to make a special call out to Jeff Sauder who makes special arrangements to fly in every year for the tournament (and had a great showing this year!).

Game On - lots of Poker Faces ready to take home the trophy and top prizes!

The ACTION was hot early and often - as the defending champ flashes some Cowboys!

I tried to be like Antonio and take down a pot with my Kings... but that's when the Aces pop up to foil my plans... and that's why I never win... thankfully, there's always the rebuy (at least for a few rounds.)

Before we knew it, we were down to a final table and it was time to get serious. Laurie was repping for all the femaies, and we had three returning champs (Jeff, Learie, and Steve) looking to add to their collection.

Final Table and Results
Final Table
With the smaller starting group, we were paying only the top three finishers for this year, so the action at the final table remained aggressive and bold to build the stacks. We lost a few players to get down to the final five, and Steve made sure that the trophy would stay with our group by eliminating the last guest player. Learie looked to keep his top three streak intact, but ultimately popped the bubble, leaving Beto, Jeff, and Steve to fight for the championship.

Huge pots and huge swings were the trend this year. Sometimes luck had it's way and sometimes the pot odds worked out as expected, but usually there was some excitement on the turn or the river, and sometimes on both.

Final 3
Beto took a big lead by eliminating Jeff into third place, but Steve would prove to be a hard player to eliminate and once again, chip swings moved back and forth for a good while with both players making good moves and good folds... After surviving with AK vs. AJ, Steve kept pressing and we had a game...
